Licensee Support Program

A prospective O.T. HodgeŽ, licensee faces a variety of challenges which our support program is designed to address. Like any investment, there are up-front costs to consider, in our case the rental or purchase of a place of business, together with the location of such a place of business.

After initial qualification, our people are ready to assist the potential licensee in the workup he or she must make to qualify a location as viable, and to further assist in design, format selection (fast food or full table service) and staffing.

The economics of operating a fast food O.T. Hodge are different than operating a table-service mode. Depending upon the location, the availability and cost of labor, and the preferences of the licensee, we provide strong support as this decision is made.

The choice of location, the size of that location, and the proper rental for that location are key to success. There are many items to be taken into consideration. The key to a successful O.T. Hodge is high volume with costs in line with that volume. Our highly regarded name will attract people to the new O.T. Hodge Chile Parlor. But the number of people is affected very much by the quality of the site.

We have observed different patterns in the St. Louis area in restaurant success. O.T. Hodge is a strong competitor. However, some competitors tend to increase our volume, while others contend for our customers. We attempt to assist the potential licensee in a site selection which drives volume to the Parlor, and to fine tune that location with the proper format recommendation, operating hour recommendation and staffing recommendation.

O.T. Hodge does not engage in renting or selling real estate to its licensees. Our goal is to assist in making an O.T. Hodge successful in a location workable by the licensee.

Training 

A complete training program is in place to assist the licensee in making a smooth startup. Beyond training, our people are on hand when the restaurant opens for business. In those early days we make continued observations and recommendations to the licensee.

Consistency

Our goal at O.T. Hodge is to keep a high quality, consistent image within our market niche. This means that all O.T. Hodge locations in the Metro area operate at a high standard, with the same menu, similar decor, and identical food preparation techniques. A satisfied suburban O.T. Hodge weekend/evening customer can easily be attracted to an O.T. Hodge in a business district for breakfast or lunch based upon this consistency.

Advertising

We will commence with metropolitan advertising in 2007. We believe that when our network of licensees reaches sufficient size, this program will increase name recognition and volume of licensee sales very much.
